AOR signs on to group letter urging the U.S. Senate to correct the law that will help to ensure equal access to FDA approved treatment options.

Advocates for Opioid Recovery has signed on to a group letter urging the U.S. Senate to pass section 3 of Senate Bill 916.  The letter was submitted to Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) on January 16, 2018. The passage of this bill, the Protecting Patient Access to Emergency Medications Act of 2017, will greatly benefit patients who wish to use innovative new forms of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as part of their recovery.  This small, technical correction to the law will help to ensure that opioid use disorder patients have the same access to FDA approved treatment options as any other patient would.
