WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) — Drug overdoses now outpace car crashes as the leading cause of accidental death in the U.S. In 2014, more than 47,000 people died this way, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, former Congressman Patrick Kennedy, and Dream Corps President Van Jones have teamed up for a project they are calling “Advocates for Opioid Recovery.”
